I would like to see some kind of modification history implemented that before you save the file you could actually look to see what is being modified. There are so many times that I use the program all day and then go to close down and it says save but I do not know why.

Would be nice to have a simple view showing us for the session what modifications have been made. Once saved the history could be wiped and start over.

KeePass 1.x saves old entries to the Backup group. These are kept until you delete them.

Opening KeePass entries and copying user name / password is the most likely cause of unexpected modification. There is no need to edit an entry to access any of the data in the entry.

    cheers, Paul

Paul I understand I could use backup entries but...

    1. not everyone has this option turned on.
    2. I have over a 1000+ backup entries and to weed through them to find the entry changed even sorting is a pain.

This is just something that I think is needed feature to add. Would really be beneficial for us that have a couple 1000 keepass entries.
