I recently came home for the holidays, and I managed to dig out my old external HDD. I found my old Keepass database that was in .kbdx format. However, when I launched it it completely froze my computer!
I thought it might have been because I was accessing it through my external, so I copied the file to my desktop. THe same thing happened.
Each time I launch it, it prompts me for a password and then freezes my computer. I have to completely restart my system to fix this problem. I thought it might have been some "wrong password" bug, but I tried all 3 passwords I would have used. The database does not confirm or deny my password, it just freezes my computer!
I tried to find a way to check and repair it, but I apparently i need to launch it with keepass before I can repair it.
Also, it works fine with my new database.

To repair the database you need to create a new blank database.
Select File > Import > KDB repair mode.
Thanks for the advice, however that does not work either. Keepass keeps freezing my computer whenever I open that file, even with the KDBX repair mode. I will try it after updating.
Is the kdbx file really big?
