I'm using field reference for my URL field and I tried to reference to a URL field containing
"cmd://c:\rdp.exe /v:{S:ip1} /fullscreen /u:{USERNAME} /p:{PASSWORD} /nodrives /nosound" to connect to a RDP session.
Now when I have this 'original' typed in in my entry, everything goes as planned, and I get connection to the RDP host.
But... when using the referenced URL, it doesn't resolve the
user/pass/s:ip1 value from the entry I created but fills the values from the referenced entry.

This is problably 'normal' behaviour but i seem to think it would be super to be able to use it and only need to change 1 field.

Kind regards,

StarGoose

Nope, not a bug, it's expected. Please use the discussion forums for general queries.

Please post instructions for creating a "referenced URL" entry and we'll advise.

    cheers, Paul

You could e.g. use a scheme-based URL override for this. Go 'Tools' -> 'Options' -> tab 'Integration' -> button 'URL Scheme Overrides', create one for 'myrdp' (with your cmd:// command line as override) and set the entry's URL to 'myrdp://'.

    Best regards,
