Why? Because it's more difficult to install a program from source under linux than under windows xp? Ever tried? :-) Here you can find a rpm package for rh9: http://rpm.livna.org/redhat/9/i386/RPMS.stable/kaffeine-0.4.1-0.lvn.1.rh90.i386.rpm Installation time: 1 minute. No stupid install shield, no registration, no reboot. Enjoy! Yes, Kaffeine depends on the xine-lib. Install that package first: http://rpm.livna.org/redhat/9/i386/RPMS.stable/xine-lib-1.0.0-0.lvn.0.22.rc3a.rh90.i386.rpm Jürgen "the poor man" Kofler -- +++ NEU bei GMX und erstmalig in Deutschland: TÜV-geprüfter Virenschutz +++ 100% Virenerkennung nach Wildlist. Use the package manager to install it and all dependencies should be resolved automatically. After that install the kaffeine rpm. Jürgen |
