Hiya I can promise you that JZKit does work with unicode searches. We have done __extensive__ testing with big LMS vendors and their multi-lingual collections. The problem is *much* more likely to be local code pages in your host vm sending the searches. JZkit needs you to pass in UTF-8 strings, if your local code-page isn't unicode this won't happen. We've seen these kinds of problems before on certain platforms. Some clients don't handle unicode or marc-8 searching also. If you can provide me with a concrete test harness that demonstrates and reproduces the problem, i'm happy to take a look. Cheers, Ian.
