Hi, I've just gotten back into the swing of working on the maven-jython-plugin. I released 0.2 still using jythonc just to get Jython 2.2 support out the door. For the next release, I am really looking at using compileall.py if I can. One question I have is how do I control the naming convention? One of the goals is to make it as transparent as possible that Jython was ever even involved. This means not mungling the name by adding "$py" to the end. Is there a way to handle this? If not, is a patch for this something that would be considered acceptable? Until then, it's hard to outright replace jythonc.
