Hmmmm... this brings up another problem: mosheen$ java jython-21 -o jython-21 demo lib source Exception in thread "main" java.lang.ClassFormatError: jython-21 = (Truncated class file) at java.lang.ClassLoader.defineClass0(Native Method) at java.lang.ClassLoader.defineClass(ClassLoader.java:477) at = java.security.SecureClassLoader.defineClass(SecureClassLoader.java:101) at java.net.URLClassLoader.defineClass(URLClassLoader.java:247) at java.net.URLClassLoader.access$1(URLClassLoader.java:213) at java.net.URLClassLoader$1.run(URLClassLoader.java:194) at java.security.AccessController.doPrivileged(Native Method) at java.net.URLClassLoader.findClass(URLClassLoader.java:188) at java.lang.ClassLoader.loadClass(ClassLoader.java:299) at sun.misc.Launcher$AppClassLoader.loadClass(Launcher.java:290) at java.lang.ClassLoader.loadClass(ClassLoader.java:255) at java.lang.ClassLoader.loadClassInternal(ClassLoader.java:315) What is causing the "Truncated class file"? -----Original Message----- From: patrickchamberlain [mailto:pat...@ya...] Sent: Monday, June 16, 2003 4:49 PM To: jyt...@li... Nope, no dice. I tried redownloading and now get a zip error: mosheen$ java jython_21 try path /export/home/dshawhan/ java.util.zip.ZipException: error in opening zip file at java.util.zip.ZipFile.open(Native Method) at java.util.zip.ZipFile.<init>(ZipFile.java:69) at java.util.zip.ZipFile.<init>(ZipFile.java:84) at jython_21.openArchive(Compiled Code) at jython_21.<init>(Install.java:109) at jython_21.main(Install.java:345) can not open archive can not read from archive can not load class = net.sourceforge.liftoff.installer.source.ResURLFactory = :java.lang.ClassNotFoundException: = net.sourceforge.liftoff.installer.source.ResURLFactory ------------------ Weird! I am downloading the jython class file from sourceforge onto a = windows 2000 box, then using pscp to transfer it to the solaris box. I = have had no other problems with pscp destroying files. It works fine on the winders box. Please pardon my stupidity: The file is being truncated on the solaris = box due to space constraints. Jython is totally without fault here! Thanks very much for your help!
