there is a bunch of Python/Jython editing plugins for Eclipse,
some are moribund, some are fresh,
this is not one of them,
this is Jython running inside and scripting Eclipse,
on the lower right, the table on the left is filled with the output of the
code on the right,
out(.) is a function to emit such an entry,
env.got is a way to access a grabbed selection (there's an action to do
that), in this case
the Java Element corresponding to the PyObject class.
the rest is just Eclipse framework functionality driven in Jython. In this

it could be sugared up a lot, also integration with one of the Python
editors would be nice,
the fact that there are many of them does not help and I don't think being
in the business of writing another one is a good idea. AFAIR one of them
has also some Eclipse scripting capabilities, but the last time I looked at
the code it wasn't dealing with inter-plugins imports at all.
It may ship as a demo. For the moment I'm using it for custom searches,
also e.g. among Tasks.
And I expect to use it to do programmatic code manipulation.
