How can I add a jar file to python.path when the name of the file does not end with '.jar'? A Java solution would be preferred though Jython would be OK.
More info - I am trying to run a Jython application from Java Web Start. I put all the .py files in a jar on the classpath. At runtime I use getResource() to find the jar and add it to python.path.
With Java 1.4.1 this works pretty well. With Java 1.4.2 the jar file names don't end in '.jar' - for example one of the jars is called XMmeccano-editor-2i11d8x.jar1077061362012.
I want to add this jar file to python.path so imports of modules in the jar will work.
