After subclassing strings successfully (thanks!), I know need to do
something about integers. The canonical way to do this seems to be to
implement the special methods __add__, __sub__, etc., instead of
subclassing something (looks like there's no UserInteger class anyway).
But I need this type to work smoothly in Jython. For example, it has to
