I was just looking at ThreadStateLocal. Version 1,
which appears to exist for people in Java1 and is
marked to be removed has 3 methods and various ivars.
Version 2 though is simplified enough that its down to
1 method and 1 ivar. Given that it appears that Py is
the only class that uses this functionality, would it
not make sense to move its functionality into Py and
just get rid of the thing? A factor against this
would be if ThreadStateLocal was going to ever do
anything else besides return the ThreadState for a
thread, but I suspect this may never be the case.
