I have an application written in Java that I've enhanced with
the Jython interpreter. That solved the problem of scripting a
tool that was GUI only. The tool pulls a GPS LAT/LON from the remote
device. I would like to generate the URL that is handled
by MapQuest to pop up a browser window with a map location. C Python
can do this, but I see no means of having the Windows
2000 system execute the command "explorer urlstring" from Jython. That
is all that is required to get a browser window up on a
2000 machine. The JNIOS stuff didn't play nicely and probably needs a
review before being offered as part of Jython. =20
Thanks for creating a great Python interpreter in Java. I was a
C Python fan before discovering Jython. It is a nice
synthesis of the two languages.

(sorry for the blank mail, misstyping error...)
First of all, I am using jython right now love it!
But... I really need the Python "webbrowser" module and I can find it on Jython.
Does it exist (please, ...say yes!) ?
I checked http://jython.sourceforge.net/docs/differences.html and other places
on the net but didn't find anything.
Is there a way to use this module on jython?

I copied webbrowser.py from /usr/lib/python2.2 to my home directory and
launched jython. Everything worked fine. Have fun!
