Hi All, I've attempted to install Jython 2.1 on a SCO OpenServer box and have = run into a couple of issues. Even though the installer does not = recognize the "OpenServer" operating system, the GUI interface permits = one to choose a generic "UNIX" operating system. Choosing this option = allows the installation to continue, and everything appears to work fine = from there. With the non-interactive option, though, a message "can not = get flavour null for os 'OpenServer'" appears and the installation is = aborted. While there are a couple options we have to get around this, none of = them are particularly attractive. (We train our installers to = completely disable the GUI on OpenServer, so they are familiar with it.) Would it be possible for you, then, to add an additional command-line = parameter to the non-interactive installer? It would be nice if one = could specify a generic UNIX installation, even if the installer doesn't = recognize the operating system. I apologize if this topic has been discussed already. Thanks for your time, Greg Jewell |

The installer already support a '-f flavor' option. <java interpreter> jython-21 -f unix -o Jython-2.1 demo lib source regards, finn |
