There is such a plan. But it might not get included in 2.5.0, and if it does, it might be in "pre-release mode" and could very well change somewhat in a subsequent 2.5.x release. But our ambition is to have a replacement for jythonc in some 2.5.x version this year.

When it is stable enough we will make an announcement about it.
