Sure, what problems are you running into?  I've got Jython running on my OSX 10.5 system without issues.

If you follow the installation guidelines on http://www.jython.org/Project/installation.html then it should work without issues.  However, you will need to traverse into the directory which you loaded Jython in order to run it .

Eg (Running Interactive Shell):

In terminal:

cd /path to jython 2.2.1
./jython
