2.2b2 is old enough! Try your script with the latest version: 2.2.1 (http://www.jython.org/Project/download.html )


I changed my Jython version on windows, but that was not the main issue.

For what I wanted to  do (get the stdout and stderr content in a single string),
my code was pretty naive and not portable (and as a matter of fact, this kind
of mistake is described pretty much everywhere on the web, to begin with
in the standard C Python doc ;)).

I switched a version based on "popen2.popen4" and now everything "just works"
for every Windows/Linux, CPython/Jython combination :)
