Is there a means by which, for a given verb, I can determine what tense it is, or other tenses of it? For instance, If I have the verb "am," for first person present, but I want second person past ("were") of "be," is there a way I can discern that with JWNL? Thanks, Ralph Vince

Wordnet deals with semantics of the root forms of words, not of the individual wordforms.  If you need wordform information you might want to look into something like Celex which has a large number of attributes for every word.
