I'm running an Ubuntu 10.10 install, with eJabber 2.1.5, and JWChat 1.0 final 6, both from packages.
Using http-bind, I can login and see all users and conference rooms, and even receive messages sent from other users. But I cannot send a message to anyone. Nothing telling in the Apache logs, and I'm not sure what to look for with the debugger running.
I've run tcpdump and I can see the message getting to the server and identify who it's for.
Thoughts and/or a good place to continue looking?

And within minutes of posting this, I found that it's an issue with Pidgin. Two web clients work fine, as does web to Trillian. So, off to see what's wrong with Pidgin…

This problem occours here too on a debian machine (jwchat 1.0+dfsg-1), but only with the combination of firefox and pidgin/empathy (v 5, 6, 7) ). firefox and gajim works well, also epiphany (webkit) with pidgin and empathy. Could not find some usefull in logs.

Addition to posting above, "(v 5, 6, 7)" means the versions of firefox I tried.
