Displaystyle for \begin{xxx} .. \end{xxx}

  • Hello Davide,
    I really like the fact that jsMath can now automatically recognize \begin{xxx} .. \end{xxx} and place them in a math environment. However I think that most of these environments are used for displayed equations, so I think it would be much more useful if you could wrap them in a displaystyle div by default. In fact I can't currently think of any environment where having it in displaystyle could be a problem.

    • The support for environments outside of math mode needs some improvement.  There probably should be a list of these, and that list could include settings like whether it uses in-line or display mode; but your are right that it should probably be display mode by default.

      You can change this in jsMath/plugins/tex2math.js at line 245 by changing 'span' to 'div'.  I'll update this in the next release of jsMath.

      Thanks for the suggestion.

      Davide
