jShrinker 0.4.0 Status Update

Development on jShrinker has been slow over the last year. Starting this summer the schedule will accelerate to make up for lost time but, as of yet, a time-line is not in sight.

jShrinker 0.3.0 Released

jShrinker is a cross-platform compression/decompression utility written in Java that aims to be easy to use. It currently includes decompression support for the following formats: 7zip, gzip, bzip2, zip, tar, and jar.

jShrinker version 0.3.0 has been released today and is available for download. Its decompression code has been tightened and tweaked. Because of this it should now be viable to use as a decompression utility. A progress bar has been added to the decompression user interface as well, to allow users to know how far along in decompression the program is.

Alpha Version 0.2.0 Released

The alpha version of jShrinker has been released. It has (mostly) working decompression of all of the formats listed on the main page of the project.

A few revisions will be made to this alpha version in the near future. This will include pop-up error messages to aid in the debugging and testing of the program along with bug fixes.

Alpha Version 0.2.0 to Be Released Soon

The alpha version 0.2.0 of jShrinker will be released within the next week.
