Hi all, I'm having an usual problem that's stumped both myself and others on the NetBeans user list. I'm using the built-in support for CVS over SSH within NetBeans, which apparently uses JSch for the SSH layer. The problem I'm seeing is that connecting to one server in particular yields an authentication error. That server is a Debian Sarge using OpenSSH and CVS. The one catch is that it is authenticating using NIS. (I'm not the server admin, but I can get you any information that may be helpful.) I can connect to that same server using PuTTY normally or using CVSNT for CVS access. This is what NetBeans logs: INFORMATIONAL *********** Exception occurred ************ at 12:56 PM on Dec 19, 2005 Annotation: Connection authentification verification failed. org.netbeans.lib.cvsclient.connection.AuthenticationException: SSH connection failed. at org.netbeans.modules.versioning.system.cvss.SSHConnection.open(SSHConnection.java:80) at org.netbeans.modules.versioning.system.cvss.SSHConnection.verify(SSHConnection.java:105) [catch] at org.netbeans.modules.versioning.system.cvss.ui.wizards.RepositoryStep$2.run(RepositoryStep.java:251) at java.lang.Thread.run(Thread.java:595) Caused by: com.jcraft.jsch.JSchException: Auth fail at com.jcraft.jsch.Session.connect(Unknown Source) at com.jcraft.jsch.Session.connect(Unknown Source) at org.netbeans.modules.versioning.system.cvss.SSHConnection.open(SSHConnection.java:78) ... 3 more Any clue how I could go about diagnosing the problem? I know I can use external SSH programs with NetBeans but it seems I may have stumbled onto a bug that should be addressed. Thanks so much for the help! Let me know if I can provide other information.
