I try to use the task <scp> in an ANT file, in a LINUX environnement
(Fedora Core 4).
Following the ANT manual concerning the "optional tasks" :
1) i have downloaded the jsch file ("jsch-0.1.24.jar") and copied it in
the [ANT_HOME]/lib directory.
2) i even have declared the "jsch-0.1.24.jar" file in the system
CLASSPATH environment variable.
3) i have also checked that the "ant-jsch.jar" was in the [ANT_HOME]/lib
Despite all, i catch the following error when i launch my ANT script,
both from Eclipse (3.1.1) and from the command line ( [ANT_HOME]/bin/ant
-buildfile ...) :
Could not create task or type of type: scp.
Ant could not find the task or a class this task relies upon.
Any idea about a way to avoid this failure ?
What is the relation beetween the "ant-jsch.jar" file (embedded in the
ANT binaries) and the "jsch-0.1.24.jar" external file ? They seem to be
Thanks in advance

Which ant version are you trying? I have remembered that scp has been
supported by Apache Ant 1.6 ant later.

Those two jar files are required. 'jsch-0.1.24.jar' includes jsch API,
which allows you to use ssh2 protocol in pure Java and 'ant-jsch.jar' defines
'scp' task by using jsch API.
