No, it depends how accurate the aeronautical data which is included in the lookup tables is. Xplane predicts the forces in real time based upon the aircraft geometry and the airflow over the surfaces, and this places a real constraint on the accuracy of the result. JSBsim works best with wind-tunnel or flight test aeronautical and weight data. The methods used are the same as those used in industry flight simulators. If such data is not available most JSBSim aircraft use estimated aero and weight data, the quality of which depends upon the skill of whoever makes the estimates. As with all computer programs, garbage on = garbage out. Alan From: Pablo Morcillo Sent: Thursday, June 04, 2015 6:16 PM To: jsb...@li... So if I have a better model, but still is in lookup tables data, isn´t going to work as well as xplane? -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- _______________________________________________ Jsbsim-users mailing list Jsb...@li... https://lists.sourceforge.net/lists/listinfo/jsbsim-users |
