  • What are your expectations for maximum number of Nodes?

      I have a 2-pronged answer to that:

      - globally there is no limit to the number of nodes. The network toplogy is a tree, so if you construct your tree properly, the only scalability issues would be due to the depth of the tree, meaning that having too many levels generates an overhead due to network transport/latency.
I'm aiming at no more than a few milliseconds overhead for communication between 2 nodes, whenever the network infrastructure actually permits it.

      - from a single node point of view, each node manages other nodes, which manage other nodes in turn and so on.... So there is a limit to how many nodes can be managed while keeping an acceptable performance.

I hope this answers your concern.
