      The name is a reverence to Jose Raul Capablanca, former World Champion.
      His nickname was the "Chess Machine".

      yes - you are right. the best chess gui for linux. i think it is quite near to fritz for windows and in some aspects even better.

      Me too want to congratulate the author for this great chess game.

      Anyway the only thing that miss it's FICS support so i hope it will be added soon...
      do you think it will be possible to add FICS support via a sort of "fake" chess engine?

      Hello,
      I think any FICS support needs a lot of logic and an input command's console. So I think Jose is not already able for doing this stuff. I'd like to have it me too :)
      I guess it is simplier to build a "fake" chess engine for playing a network peer-to-peer match between two Jose instances. This "fake" UCI or Xboard engine could be usefull with any UCI or XBoard compatible interface.
