I am running jose 1.3.5 under fedora core 3 x86_64. Everything is fine except that pgn files will not open. I think this is because libmysqlje.so is compiled in the 32-bit mode while my java is 64-bit. Would it be possible to provide a 64-bit version? Alternatively, I could compile it from sources, but there is no makefile in the source distribution. Thanks, Mladen
sorry for responding so late.
My first piece of advice is this. Run:
java -cp jose.jar de.jose.Version
This will list some system information. Important is the "arch" property, for example:
arch = x86_64
Now, rename the directory lib/Linux_i386 to
If it still doesn't work, we probably have to recompile the database library. I will upload the sources soon, please stay tuned ;-)

I just discovered Jose after seeing that there are not so many choices available in Gentoo's portage :-(
Jose is a great front-end. COngrats!
Being on amd64, I'd prefer to run it in 64-bit mode, but it does not work. However, I can use it with 32-buit Java.
Any news regards support for 64-bit mode?
