I dunno if this is a bug, but I got a message saying so.
I am using version 1.4.4 of Jose in Linux (ubuntu's latest release), but cannot load any pgn or zip file, either from the internet (via the URL) or simply a file in a directory...
I downloaded a simple game (pgn) file from the FICS server to my home directory, tried to open it with jose and got the error message:
"An unexepected error has occured.
It would be helpful if you submitted a bug report. Please try to describe the steps that lead to the error and attach this file to your report:
So here it is attached... I can't decypher java, and
maybe it's due to some misconfiguration of mine?
I can't believe that all jose users would have the same problem (although there were some similar bug reports)... In that case, I'd be happy and grateful to have some feedback on why this error occurred.
My only interest in Jose is not as an interface for playing with engines, but managing (storing, retrieving, classifying) games.
Ideally I would like to set up some web pages, where people can select games and browse through them.
I've seen that it should be possible through a servlet.
