Hi! I came to learn abt joone recently and as a newbie in AI I find it extremely exciting. Why dint I know abt this before?!
I downloaded the gui editor and have been trying to install it. Everything goes well but in the final installation, the green bar stops just before it touches 100% and the thing hangs and I have to use Task Manager to shut it down.
I am using vista and i have the jvm. I have tried shutting down all progs before initiating the installation. I re-downloaded the file and again the same error.

Please help. I am dying to use this thing!!

i assume you used the windows installer? when you run into problems with this one, download and use the "AllPlafs" version. Just unzip the folder and run the RunEditor.bat script (either via double-clicking or from the command-line). This should work fine on vista, i just tried it myself (ps. this is not an "installer", so the editor does not appear in the windows program files folder but you can place a shortcut there).
