Hi! [snip] > If anyone's interested in a list of all bugs reported against joe in the > Debian bug tracking system, please feel free to browse > http://bugs.debian.org/joe Yesterday I took a look at patches which are in Debian's joe-2.8-20. Here are the results (if there are any thoughts or complains, feel free to complain to this list): 000_dwarfs: don't know which bug it fixes (not included) 000_large_file_segfault: solved other way round (use vsmk()+vsncpy()/vsrm()) (included as of 2.9.6-pre2) 001_missing_headers: 1st hunk included as of 2.9.1, 2nd included as of 2.9.5 002_int_to_long: not applied - what's the problem? 003_renamed_stuff: 1st hunk included as of 2.9.1; getcontext() rename not applied - SHOULD be applied to mainstream!; valloc() rename included as of 2.9.1 (partially: is rename of curvalloc and maxvalloc needed ???) 004_terminal_init: included as of 2.9.6-pre0 with fix to make -skiptop work in (not yet released) 2.9.8-pre2 (or in sf.net CVS) 005_pts: not applied - SHOULD be in mainstream? (does joe works better, more effeciently with this patch or what ???) 006_missing_vars: procrc() fix included as of 2.9.6-pre0; ufile.c fix included as of 2.9.7-pre1; b.c inserr() call fix included as of 2.9.7-pre3 007_parens_logic: included as of 2.9.7-pre0 008_protect_deadjoe: better (and more portable) fix included as of 2.9.1 009_sprintf_to_snprintf: included as of 2.9.6-pre2 010_eol_in_conf_files: included as of 2.9.8-pre1 to joerc.in; SHOULD be applied to all others rc files 011_manpage: Debian specific patch - will not be applied to mainstream 012_makefile_debug: value of CFLAGS now depends on autoconf (with user value precedence) 013_Wall_patches: bw.c, macro.c, path.c fix included as of 2.9.6-pre1; 1st hunk of termcap.c fix partially includesd as of 2.9.6-pre1; 2nd hunk is bogus - but apparently does not have impact on joe (fix went in 2.9.7-pre1); termidx.c partial fix went in 2.9.7-pre1; your change long --> int is bogus (ftell is "long ftell(FILE *)" according to my man-pages), also change "oaddr=addr" to "oaddr=addr=0" is bogus due to goto loop near the end of the gen() function); tty.c fix included in 2.9.7-pre2 (#include <term.h> is in CVS), setpgrp() fix is done through autoconf macros in 2.9.7-pre2; tw.c fix included in 2.9.7-pre2; ublock.c fix included in 2.9.7-pre2; other #include fixes should be included in 2.9.7-pre2 where needed 014_locale: locale functions are included in 2.9.6-pre0 015_disable_curdir_joerc: included in 2.9.5 Cheers, Vita |
