If you have your own .joerc file, find the "-wordwrap" line and
disable it by prepending a space.

In my system-wide installation this is set in file /etc/joe/ftyperc,
but you may possibly prefer not to change the system-wide files (to
keep upgrade of joe smooth), and change the personal config file in
your home directory instead.

Possibly the man page of joe should be updated to include info about
file-type configuration and other new features.
