Somehow, when I press ^T it now just says "Option:" at the bottom instead of giving me a list of options. I have no idea what this means, or what it wants, but I want to hit 'x' to switch to rectangle mode but I can't.

This is only a problem on some of my machines--but applies to all users on the machine, so it appears I've somehow set a global option, but I configured joe with a vanilla ./configure --prefix=... statement.

Reconfiguring and recompiling fixed this problem, but I still have no idea what it is, where it came from, or how I managed to change a global setting.

I've only seen this when using 3.7 with an old joerc which was included in my ~/.joerc from an old version in /usr/local

Almost certainly an issue with an old joerc file, particularly since the ^T menu was moved there in 3.7. Closing.
