I am trying to insert a Jmol Applet in a web-page that I have checked out
from the server. My applet code for the page is this:
<applet name="jmol" code="JmolApplet.class"
width="200" height="200" mayscript="true" Id="ABC">
<param name="script" value="load
But every time I open the webpage I get an error, the applet is Yellow and
the text in it is: Started:Applet not initialized.
In addition to this a 404 error appears in the konsole for .js and .jar
I am using Linux mint 14, please let me know what am I doing wrong.
PS:I have also tried using .Js library, but that does not work at all
(specifically on this webpage, it works normal otherwise).
Hello mahnoor zia
It sounds like you do not have all the files of the applet.
1. What do you mean by "I have checked out from the server"? Is the
page that fails in your local disk or in the server?
Check that all the JmolApplet files are in the folder being visited.
Maybe you downloaded a copy of the page but not all the needed files.
2. You should not use the applet tag (although this is possibly not
related to your error). Better use Jmol.js method
3. your paths are different:
4. That 404 error will say which is the file not found, right?. So go
and see if the file is there or otherwise add it
