Same here. Since what I have is minimal I'll just append it to this email. My initial path was set based on a test of which path Eclipse knew about (messing around with the build.xml and the help of Nico).
Since I have my gettext in /usr/local/bin I added that one. It turned out I needed to add the ~ home because of the qchem executable that Spartan 02 uses, so that app got messed up until I figured that one out.

René, what did you add to the environment.plist file, exactly?  I have the file, but it has nothing related to PATH and so Eclipse is still unable to locate gettext at all OMM.  and I'm a plist weenie, I'm afraid.
