For a modern software project, having the canonical source in Git rather than Subversion would be really helpful (even if the migration to svn was relatively recent).
There are a number of forks in Git of JmDNS. Unfortunately, they've all made their own conversions so it's difficult to benefit from Git's distributed nature and see the commits that are new in a fork.

Moving to Git would make it easier to identify and re-integrate forks, as well as prepare for a possible move to GitHub or Bitbucket, as also suggested a couple of years ago.
