Hi, according to: http://blogs.zdnet.com/Burnette/?p=1043 "The CPL will no longer be considered an active open source license, but there’s an easy migration path for CPL code to transition to EPL." will the license of Jikes RVM also change? Thanks, Ian |

In fact, I like EPL, although both seem nice. ha:) 2009/4/17 Ian Rogers <ian...@ma...> > Hi, > > according to: > > http://blogs.zdnet.com/Burnette/?p=1043 > > "The CPL will no longer be considered an active open source license, but > there’s an easy migration path for CPL code to transition to EPL." > > will the license of Jikes RVM also change? > > Thanks, > Ian > > > ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ > Stay on top of everything new and different, both inside and > around Java (TM) technology - register by April 22, and save > $200 on the JavaOne (SM) conference, June 2-5, 2009, San Francisco. > 300 plus technical and hands-on sessions. Therefore, I would expect that changing to the EPL would be in the project's best interests (costs nothing, changes nothing, makes it easier to share code with other EPL projects). --dave |

Jikes RVM 3.1 will be licensed under the EPL. --dave |
