Since the latest versions of the evince pdf viewer have native support for pdf files that have been compressed with bzip2, it would be nice if jgamebase recognized a .pdf.bz2 file as a valid format for the "extras" pdf files, in both the verification menu and when opening the file by clicking on its entry from within the frontend.

    Hi,

in the verification the file is matched against the extras filename specified in the database. If the extra in the database names the file xyz.pdf the file xyz.pdf.bz2 does not match. You can change that by editing the filename for the extra, or for all extras by exporting the db to csv, changing (search and replace) and reimporting. When clicked the file is opened via the operating system. It works for me: I tested on Ubuntu 10.04, created a .pdf.bz2 file, added it as extra, and when clicked the pdf is displayed.

    Kind regards,
    Frank.
