and I lost some of my files. For the last two to three days, I ran into some problems with my laptop. Since I rebuilt the kernel in order to make a driver a module instead having it compiled into the kernel (it's a network driver e100 and eepro10). So, I believed the problem was lying with the driver, since it happens most of the time while switching my laptop in suspend mode. I had to power off the laptop after resume from the suspend mode because it hang completely and do not respond to Ctl-Alt-Backspace when trying to kill X (the screen was blank, so, I was thinking X freezed due to the network driver problem). And even, Ctl-Alt-Del didn't work or Ctl-Alt-Fx. So, power-off/power-on did the trick, however, I lost some configuration files for my mail and my browser, as well as my mail inbox. At that time, I was still thinking the problem was with the network driver. But, just few minutes ago I encountered again the problem and this time I looked at the syslog and got the following: =============================================================== Oct 3 19:45:26 dirac kernel: JFS: dbFree asked to free block larger than mapsize Oct 3 19:45:26 dirac kernel: blkno = 0x3200000031, nblocks = 0x35313a, mapsize = 0x5d5c1 Oct 3 19:45:26 dirac kernel: ino = 41067, cflag = 1a Oct 3 19:45:26 dirac kernel: cfeffd4c c01b6581 c02accd4 0000a06b 0000001a 0035313a 00000000 0005d5c1 Oct 3 19:45:26 dirac kernel: 00000000 00000024 00000000 cf4e6000 cf56be40 c38e2000 cbdec3f8 00000031 Oct 3 19:45:26 dirac kernel: 00000032 00000000 c37b4c80 00000032 c37b1264 c01c85ba c37b4c80 00000031 Oct 3 19:45:26 dirac kernel: Call Trace: [<c01b6581>] [<c01c85ba>] [<c01b1220>] [<c01c37de>] [<c01c32c3>] Oct 3 19:45:26 dirac kernel: [<c012dd24>] [<c013c52b>] [<c01a7cb0>] [<c01a9228>] [<c01a7cb0>] [<c01a7ce9>] Oct 3 19:45:26 dirac kernel: [<c014eb9f>] [<c01c829e>] [<c01c64e1>] [<c01c8a8e>] [<c01c8c36>] [<c0105000>] Oct 3 19:45:26 dirac kernel: [<c010577e>] [<c01c8b20>] Oct 3 19:47:00 dirac login(pam_unix)[1163]: session opened for user root by LOGIN(uid=0) ================================================================ Anybody can help with this?
