ORIGINAL REPORTER: marco

It is impossible to debug the compiled build, because there are no line numbers compiled into it. When trying to debug the stand-alone RCP-client (i.e. not running from the IDE) I just got this error message:

***
Unable to install breakpoint in org.nightlabs.jfire.base.j2ee.osgi.RemoteClassLoadingHook due to missing line number attributes. Modify compiler options to generate line number attributes.

Reason: Absent Line Number Information
***

All debug information should be enabled.

    Hi Marc,

    I assigned this issue to you, because you know the new nightly build system best. If you can give me a hint, where to look (at least which project), I can fix this - please assign the issue to me, then.

    I would anyway appreciate it a lot, if I knew more about the new nightly build system, so that I can do bugfixes & improvements myself. Thus, even if you fix this bug now yourself, it would be great if we could meet soon (either in IRC or personally) and you could give me an introduction into the new build system.

    Best regards, Marco :-)

    Is the debug information also missing in ordinary plugin code or only in the j2ee.osgi bundle (which is IMO a target project)?

    I modified target-rcp-jfire-min-rcl/build.xml to read the version number of org.nightlabs.jfire.base.j2ee.osgi/META-INF/MANIFEST.MF and to add a qualifier to the JAR file name, too.

    Only some target projects were affected. I fixed the <javac.../> and added 'debug="true"' in the build.xml of the following projects:

    * target-rcp-jfire-min-rcl (updated version number in file name, too)
    * target-jee-jfire-jboss-jfirelog4j
    * target-jee-jfire-jboss-sar
