I wanted to use jetty in a shareware that I was developing. The code will be used as is with no modification whatsoever. My code will be completely separate from jetty. I went through the license terms and am still a bit apprehensive on whether jetty's apache 2.0 license really allows jetty to be used in a shareware. The redistribution clause states that notices have to be included in the source of the derivative a) Given that I will not modify jetty at all is the shareware still considered a derivateve b) The redistribution clause does not seem to require that I also provide the source of my code to the customer (like GPL). Is this correct? I don't have money to pay a legal counsel for this(venturing into shareware for the first time and paying for all development from my own pocket./ time). I hope that experienced people on this group will be able to provide helpful answers on such (hopefully simple) queries Thanks |
