When using FastOpen, entering filename:linenumber used to open the file and jump to the line number. Now the cursor is always placed on the first line.
It appears to jump to the line number of the file if the a buffer has already loaded the file!
If however, fastopen must open the buffer first, it seems that the jump-to-line happens before the buffer is actually finished loading, so it fails.
I can observe the same behavior in both FastOpen 2.3 and FastOpen 2.5.
I do not believe there is any regression or change in behavior for FastOpen 2.4
Still reproducible with rev# 21844.
Steps to reproduce:
Open Fastopen sourcecode project with projectviewer.
In a separate untitled buffer, type "FastOpen.java:57"
invoke fastopen with cursor on that text.
FastOpen.java opens, at the position it was last opened in.
go back to untitled buffer. invoke fastopen again on same File:line
now position is moved to desired line 57.
go back to untitled buffer
invoke fastopen on "FastOpen.java:157" (s/57/157)
buffer opens, and you are on line 57 and not 157 (as expected)
i have "save caret positions in recent files list" enabled.
Both the given issues have now been fixed and will be released soon in FO 2.5!!
Now fixed & released in FO 2.5.
