Category: None Group: None Status: Open Resolution: None Priority: 5 Private: No Submitted By: Shlomy Reinstein (shlomy) Assigned to: Nobody/Anonymous (nobody) Summary: ErrorList: Strange problem - incorrect error entries Initial Comment: With the new version of ErrorList (1.5) that is published on the jEdit website, there is a strange problem. The following warning from the gcc output: sources/snapsite.cpp:63: warning: enumeration value `oacUnknownType' not handled in switch appears as the following entries in ErrorList: ..../snapsite.cpp: 63: en 63: enumeration 63: enumeration 63: enumeration value `oa 63: enumeration value `oacUnknownType' not handled in switch Other than this, the new ErrorList version really fixes the duplicate errors problem that existed previously. I use: jEdit 4.3pre9 Console 4.3.2 ErrorList 1.5 (from the website, not yet available via the Plugin Manager) JDK 1.5.0_08 ---------------------------------------------------------------------- >Comment By: Alan Ezust (ezust) Date: 2007-05-27 15:16 Message: Logged In: YES user_id=935841 Originator: NO What platform is this? Are you sure this is only happening with the recent errorlist and not the previous one? It sounds more like a Console bug than an ErrorList bug to me. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Comment By: Shlomy Reinstein (shlomy) Date: 2007-05-27 03:46 Message: Logged In: YES user_id=1477607 Originator: YES A small update: 1. The above doesn't always happen. Sometimes the warnings are shown fine (for the very same compiler output) 2. The incorrect warnings do not necessarily all result from the same compiler warning that I specified. There are more than 200 such warnings given by the compiler for the same line, because of cases not covered in a 'switch' statement. It might be that each incorrect error shows the prefix of a different source warning. Sorry for misleading you, if I did. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- You can respond by visiting: https://sourceforge.net/tracker/?func=detail&atid=565475&aid=1726365&group_id=588 |
