I tried it. There is *no* output whatsoever. I press the key and it gives me nothing, the cursor just stays at te beginning of the field (doesn't even change the phase of blinking). It just can't see the key at all. All other keys are working (less the exotic modifiers but that's OK). If I run an other application; GTK based things or emacs or more or less anything that has programmable keyboard shortcuts, they see the key as KP_Begin. Indeed, xev gives me this: KeyPress event, serial 28, synthetic NO, window 0x1800001, root 0x8d, subw 0x0, time 205902185, (86,181), root:(221,420), state 0x0, keycode 84 (keysym 0xff9d, KP_Begin), same_screen YES, XLookupString gives 0 bytes: XmbLookupString gives 0 bytes: XFilterEvent returns: False KeyRelease event, serial 31, synthetic NO, window 0x1800001, root 0x8d, subw 0x0, time 205902372, (86,181), root:(221,420), state 0x0, keycode 84 (keysym 0xff9d, KP_Begin), same_screen YES, XLookupString gives 0 bytes: which looks exactly like any other key.
