I installed Sun's JDK1.4.1_01 on it and are running various other Java apps without any issue. JEdit 4.0.3 installed without incident but when I close it, it completely freezes my system. Only the power switch brings it back to life!!! After restarting the OS, I can start JEdit and work with it, but everytime I close it, the same.... :( Anybody seen something similar? -Uli ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Comment By: Nobody/Anonymous (nobody) Date: 2002-12-12 18:04 Message: Logged In: NO yep...it's a known issue but it's not jEdit... the problem is with Sun's 1.4.1x releases, particularly when there's a ATI/Radeon-based graphics carded in the mix. supposedly, the problem has been solved and the upcoming SDK will feature the fix. who knows when exactly it will be released though? in the meantime, if it's feasible, you can back-step to a 1.4.0 release of the SDK ---------------------------------------------------------------------- You can respond by visiting: https://sourceforge.net/tracker/?func=detail&atid=100588&aid=651718&group_id=588 |
