Hello! When I launch jEdit in the GNOME Terminal, the following error(?) messages are printed out while I am editing a file. Are they something to worry about? These errors mean that you have the CtagsInterface plugin installed improperly, so this plugin won't be able to work. More specifically, the jar file of the JDBC database that it uses to store the Ctags information is not found in the jEdit jars directory (under the settings directory). How did you install CtagsInterface? How did you install CtagsInterface? I have installed all my plugins through jEdit's plugin menu. However, what may be complicating things is that I re-installed my ubuntu few weeks ago, and I copied the backup of my home directory. ".jedit" was included in the backup. How can I fix the problem? Here's the contents of my .jedit/jars directory: .jedit $ ls jars/ -w72 AntFarm.jar JavaSideKick.jar ant.jar JDiffPlugin.jar ant-launcher.jar jna.jar ant-nodeps.jar jruby.jar AntPlugin.jar jsch.jar Archive.jar kappalayout.jar bcel-5.2.jar log4j-1.2.14.jar Beauty.jar oro-2.0.8.jar BufferList.jar ProjectViewer.jar BufferTabs.jar resolver.jar ClassBrowser.jar RubyPlugin.jar CommonControls.jar Sessions.jar commons-codec-1.3.jar SideKick.jar commons-collections-3.2.jar SpellCheck.jar commons-httpclient-3.0.1.jar SuperAbbrevs.jar commons-lang-2.3.jar Tags.jar commons-logging-1.1.jar Templates.jar commons-net-1.4.1.jar velocity-1.5.jar Console.jar VoxSpell.jar CtagsInterface.jar ws-commons-util-1.0.2.jar CtagsSideKick.jar xalan.jar EditorScheme.jar xercesImpl.jar ErrorList.jar XercesPlugin.jar FTP.jar XML.jar GnuRegexp.jar xmlrpc-client-3.1.jar hsqldb.jar xmlrpc-common-3.1.jar hunspell.jar XSLT.jar JakartaCommons.jar |

How did you install CtagsInterface? I removed and re-installed CtagsInterface, and this SEEMS to have solved the problem. At least there are no error messages printed on my terminal. Could it be that hsqldb.jar was an incompatible version (hsqldb.jar was removed when I removed CtagsInterface)? Tuomas |

I don't think I ever replaced the hsqldb.jar file in CtagsInterface. So I don't think so.
