Just for my info, the bundled version of jEditLauncher doesn't happen to
have the 0-length-files-on-NT bug fixed yet, does it?

It's fixed. It appears that Windows' implementation of the IShellLink
interface differs between Windows NT and Windows 2000. The fix involved a
small but necessary workaround.
