I remember that in jEdit 4.2 global shortcuts worked fine in the Search Bar (and in Action Bar too).

I'm referring especially to File System Browser and Console - other seems to be OK. I'm using new keyboard handling.

This bug is a bit old, and I can't reproduce it with the development version - 4.3pre11. The global shortcuts work fine for me also from Console and FSB.
Can you try Ctrl+o in the Console and the FSB with the new version?

It is working fine for me with the trunk version of jEdit. Can you provide some examples of keyboard shortcuts that do not work for you in the dockables, and specify exactly in which dockables they don't work?
