Can someone explain what it means when you get a NetworkNotification whose type is NetworkNotification.SERVER_UPDATED?
I'm seeing some behavior that I wasn't expecting, probably due to my lack of understanding.
I have two Connectors (call them c1 and c2) running in the same VM, however, there are TWO different MBeanServers (call them mbs1 and mbs2) - each Connector lives in its own MBeanServer. c1 lives in mbs1 and c2 lives in mbs2.
When I start my first server (c1), I'll add a listener to the NetworkRegistry that is registered (this registry is running in mbs1). I then start my second server, c2.
I immediately get two notifications. One is of type NetworkNotification.SERVER_ADDED and it has a locator of my c1 connector. The other notification is of type SERVER_UPDATED, and it contains two locators - those of both c1 and c2.
I am confused what it means by UPDATED and ADDED. They are two connectors with two different invoker locators - why don't I get two ADDED notifs?. They *are* running in the same VM (albeit in different MBeanServers within that VM). I noticed that the jboss identity in each notification (notification.getIdentity) are exactly the same. Is the JBoss identity only unique to the VM? If so, perhaps that's why I'm seeing what I'm seeing?
Thanks for any infor you can provide.
