First of all, thank you for this great tool. That allows me
to use mp3 and save a lot of download to the users of
However I have a little suggestion:
I am using java3d to make a small game (project la-cfd
but it will not be released until a few days at the least).
And using threads with java3d is strongly unadviced (I
tryied and got freezes), so I cannot use the simple
player to play my mp3.
I have to use the java3d MediaContainer which
apparently does not support using the javalayer through
the SPI you (or javaworld) submitted and does not
permit (to my knowledge) twicking since the source
code is not even available and the options very limited.
So the only solution I came up with is to convert the
mp3 into a wav format which is supported by java3d.
This works fine but on the other hand, using the
converter you provided implies writing on the hard disk
and I would like to keep my programs authorization
needs to the lowest by converting the mp3 directly into
The classes you provide however do not provide a way
to convert into OutputStreams so this is why I am
asking for this option.
I tried entering the code but the simplest direct way I
found to get to my goal was to modify the RiffFile in a
very dirty way which I would not dare submit.
