No

I have a relatively new cellphone that was released on the market, it's the LG GM205.
I checked most of the bug reports, but none had this problem, it loads all the files at the "withgames" jar file but the gb and gbc files, and my cellphone has more than 3MB of RAM free for Java apps.
I even tried un-installing all the other apps I have in order to run it, as it's the only emulator compatible with my LG, apparently.
It has the latest Java Mobile build, as I have checked on the official LG website, perhaps this bug could be checked? The error message is:
"Failed to load image ------.gb/gbc."
PS: The size of the jar file after I tried placing another gbc file correctly was 866.35KB. Perhaps this can be fixed? I've uploaded the file to mediafire, since I can't upload artifacts larger than 256KB. http://www.mediafire.com/file/5nwmgdyentq/JMEBoy-1.3.3.jar

Loading a game basically works - but perhaps not for all ROMs on your phone. The usual way of loading other Gameboy ROMs from the phone is putting the .gb or .gbc files onto the SD card of the phone and then search for Gameboy images from the emulator. Did you do this scan for .gb and .gbc files on your phone prior to running a game? If so, was a number of games >0 reported? What you could also try is running a game that is quite small (< 256k or so) to see if your problem could be related to large ROMs only. Many ROMs have a size of 1 MB or more, which might leave too little Java memory on your phone to successfully run the emulator.

  • I can't scan the files on my SD card for some reason, I had to compress the games with the jar file to work, and yes, the problem only appears to happen with gb and gbc files, large cgb files/etc work fine.

If .cgb files work fine then I'd suggest to simply rename files to that extension. For the emulator that does not matter. In any case I am going to close this issue since .gbc and .gb do work. It's just with your setup with including them in the .jar file that something got wrong.
