JasperServer 3.5 released

JasperServer 3.5.0 Release

JasperServer is a complete business intelligence web application,
based on the JasperReports reporting library. It provides secure
access for running reports through the browser and via Web services,
and scheduled report distribution. Also included is JasperAnalysis
a full OLAP service with interactive "slice and dice" user
interface and remote services via XML/A (OLAP web services). All
business intelligence resources are managed in a database backed
repository.

JasperServer 3.5 now includes these features:

  • Revamped user and role pages
  • Includes support for large numbers of users, including
    search.

  • Upgrade to JasperReports and iReport 3.5.0

  • Gantt charts
  • XML based chart themes
  • TTF fonts can be used without prior installation,
    including font selection by locale
  • Multiple scriptlets per template
  • iReport 3.5.0 included in installers

  • Upgrade Mondrian (OLAP engine) to 3.0.4

  • Dimension sharing within a cube
  • Support for dozens of new scalar functions in MDX

  • New JasperAnalysis UI

  • Improved look and feel and functionality for analysis views

  • Revised Schema Workbench

  • The schema workbench used for creating and testing OLAP
    schemas has been updated with many functional improvements

  • Report Governors

  • Reports can be limited to a maximum number of pages or an amount
    of run time

  • Encrypt User and JDBC password

  • Export/Import now supports encryption of JDBC passwords
  • User password encryption is now turned on by default

  • Configurable Scheduler Intervals

  • The admin can decide which recurrence options are
    displayed to users by editing the recurrenceIntervalUnits
    bean in the WEB-INF/flows/reportJobBeans.xml
